Traditionally, a farmer would carefully select a variety based on nutrition and taste. In 1950s, Punjab's farmers were forced to grow crops with better yield. All old native varieties of Wheat etc. slowly vanished from the farms. We have carefully selected and brought back those old varieties. Paighambari (also known as Sona Moti), was cultivated by the Indus valley farmers! Known for its high protein content, this wheat is also resilient to climate changes. Bansi and Kathiya are Durum wheat varities known for their bold and hard grain and are used to make Daliya. Our 2023 harvest includes both these varieties. Our long grain Basmati Rice is aged for atleast 1 year before it is sold. It is kept as Paddy to retain its aroma and processed in small batches. We also cultivate desi Mustard and soon will be offering wood pressed oil to our customers.
